Open the the
joey_head.mb scene (you can download it from
lbrush.com), select the 'head' object and open the
'LBrush1' tab in attribute editor. The sample file contains
the set of phoneme targets that are pre-loaded into
phoneme swatches
2. Set up the sound track
Load the sound file
(Maya Menu / File / Import...)
Set the playback speed to
'Real-time (24fps)' so maya will be able to play the sound (Maya
Pprefereces / Settings / Timeline / Playaback Speed)
Right click the Timeline then
select in 'Sound' submenu the name of your sound file
Now you can hear you sound when
animation is playing. You can use LBrush 'Step Forward/Backward' buttons
(LBrush shelf) or use maya standard hotkeys or timeline scrubbing. The difference with
standard Maya's 'step forward' hotkeys is that a frame worth of sound will be played when you use LBrush button/shortcut. We also append that onto maya's hotkeys.
3. Create animation keys
Click the phoneme
swatch's picture area - a keyframe will be created at current time,
than you can play your animation and render in usual
way.
